Use the User Symbols bar to store frequently used symbols or
symbol templates and make them more quickly accessible. You can customize this
window by changing cell sizes and the number of cells, or by saving and loading
sets of symbols to and from disk files.
Steps
To insert symbols into the User Symbols bar,
Give focus to the User Symbols bar by clicking on it.
Select an empty cell using the mouse or the arrow keys.
Insert a symbol by selecting a symbol from the Compound
Symbols bar or from the Simple Symbols window. or
Paste a previously copied symbol by pressing Ctrl+V or by clicking the User
Symbols bar with the second mouse button, then choosing Paste.
To insert a symbol from the User Symbols bar in your document,
Move the cursor to a place where you want to insert a symbol.
Give focus to the User Symbols bar by clicking on it.
Select the cell in the User Symbol bar with the desired
symbol using the mouse or the arrow keys.
Double-click the cell. or
Press Enter. or
Select the symbol, then click on the selection, hold down the mouse button,
drag to the destination cell in your document, then release the mouse button.
To create or edit pages of User Symbols,
click the User Symbols bar with the second mouse button,
then choose Edit User Symbol Pages.
To change the page of User Symbols displayed,
Choose a set from the list box at the top side of the User
Symbols bar.
