Bows and Braces, Bows

Purpose

Use Bows to add bows connecting cells of several columns or to edit existing bows.

Steps

1. In the Bows and Braces dialog, choose the Bows tab.
2. To create a bow,
   • Move the cursor to the cell where you want to place the bow's origin.
   • Choose a column number and a row in the Bow Extends To panel to define the bow's end point.
   • You may optionally change the bow's origin and end points within the chosen cells.
   • Choose Create Bow.

   To edit a bow,

   • Move the cursor to the cell with the bow's origin.
   • If necessary, choose Next Bow or Previous Bow until the bow's origin and extent are displayed correctly in the Bows and Braces dialog.
   • Change the bows extent by modifying the end point's column number or row.
     or
     Change the bow's origin or end points within their cells.
   • Choose Apply

   To delete a bow,

   • Move the cursor to the cell with the bow's origin.
   • If necessary, choose Next Bow or Previous Bow until the bow's origin and extent are displayed correctly in the Bows and Braces dialog.
   • Choose Delete Bow.
