Drag and Drop

Purpose

Drag-and-Drop editing is the easiest way to move or copy a selection of symbols a short distance, and you can also drag-and-drop items between documents or between a document and the User Symbols bar.

However, to move or copy a selection a longer distance the Cut, Copy and Paste commands are often more convenient.

Steps

  1. Select the symbols or cells you want to move or copy.
  2. Click on the selection, hold the mouse button down, and drag the mouse pointer to the place where you want to move or copy the selection.
    You can drag to any other document window displayed on-screen.
  3. To move the selection to the new location, release the mouse button.
    or
    To copy the selection to the new location, press Ctrl while you release the mouse button.
