Purpose
Use Select to highlight symbols, cells or boxes you want to
modify or copy.
Steps
To select cells using the mouse,
- Click the mouse into a cell, hold down the mouse button,
drag across the symbols or cells you want to select, then release the mouse
button.
To select a box using the mouse,
- Click the box.
To cancel a selection,
- Click the mouse anywhere outside the selection.
To use the menu,
- Place the insertion point anywhere in a staff you want
to select.
- Choose Select from the Edit menu, then choose from the
following options.
- Row
Selects the current limb row throughout the current staff line.
- Columns
Selects a specified number of columns forward from the current location. All
limb rows are included in the selection.
- Staff Line
Selects all columns and rows in the current staff line.
- Page
Selects all columns and rows on the current page.
- Box
Selects the first box on the current page.
If you have already selected a box, select another box by choosing Next Box
or Previous Box.
To select cells and symbols using the keyboard,
- Place the insertion point anywhere in a staff you want to
select.
- Hold the Shift key down, while using cursor movement keys
to complete the selection.
To unselect cells using the keyboard,
- Press any cursor movement key.
