Cell Borders

Cell Properties, Borders tab

Purpose

Use Cell Borders to display the borders of one or several cells in a special style. Also you can add partial borders to cells that do not display regular borders (hidden cell borders or limb groups).

Note: The chosen style for vertical lines will effect only the right side border of the selected cells.

Steps

  1. In the Cell Properties dialog choose the Border tab.
  2. Select all the columns and cells where you want to modify the borders.
  3. To show or hide the regular cell borders,
check or uncheck the Show check box.

    To display an extra border,
choose an extra line style for the selected cells' vertical, top and bottom borders.

To return to the default appearance,
choose Default in the line style boxes.

Note: If you choose Default in one of the line style boxes, regular staff borders are displayed, or, if you unchecked the Regular Staff Borders Show check box, no staff borders are displayed at all.

  4. Choose Connect Groups to also display vertical borders in the white space between limb groups. By default the staff’s regular grid does not extend to the white space between limb groups.
  5. To apply a vertical border not to every column within the current selection, choose the Apply check box and specify to which columns to apply the extra border.
  6. Choose Apply.
