Use Page Breaks to determine the reflow behavior of a page's staffs.
Steps
In the Page Properties dialog, choose the Breaks tab.
You can view the current break properties of the selected page.
Choose one of the following options:
To fix the page's first staff of the page at its place,
even when there would be enough space for more staffs at the bottom of
the preceding page,
check the Before Page Manual Break check box.
Note: When inserting staffs on preceding pages,
new pages may be created before the current page to create enough space
for the new staffs.
To allow the page's first staff to move to the previous page when
space allows,
clear the Before Page Manual Break check box.
Note: When inserting staffs on preceding pages,
these staffs may join with this page and push staffs further downwards.
To prevent a staff from the next page to move to the current page
when space allows,
check the After Page Manual Break check box.
To allow a staff from the next page to move to the current page,
clear the After Page Manual Break check box.
Choose Apply
To move a section of a staff to the next page,
move the cursor to the column you want to move to the next page.
If you want to override the page style chain and define a special page
style for the next page, choose an available page style from the drop-down
list.
