Save Templates

File, Templates, Save Document As Template

Purpose

Use Save Templates to save the current document as a document template.

You can create new documents based on a saved template using the More Templates command.

Steps

  1. Prepare your document you want to save as a template.

    Typically you want to create a document with an empty staff and predefined formatting options for pages, staffs and User Symbols.

  2. Choose Templates from the File menu, then choose Save Document As Template.
  3. Type a filename and a description.

    If you do not give a description, the filename will appear in the menus and dialogs instead.

  4. You may save the template in a subfolder of the default template folder by choosing Browse.
  5. Choose Save.
