Edit, Delete

Purpose

Use Delete to delete a symbol at the cursor or to remove selected information.

Steps

To delete symbols,

1. Choose Delete from the Edit menu.
   or
   Press Del.
   

To delete selected information,

1. Select symbols within one cell or select a number of cells or select a box.
2. Choose Delete from the Edit menu.
   or
   Press Del.
   
   If you have selected a number of cells rather than just symbols within one cell, you are prompted either to remove only the symbols from the current location or to delete the selected columns.
