Use to build a compound
symbol either in a vertical or horizontal direction.
Steps
Choose the Add Item tab in the Build
Symbol dialog.
Choose a style for the new item:
Simple: Adds a simple item X you can replace by any Simple
Symbol after you close the Build Symbols dialog.
Vertical Parentheses / Brackets: Adds a vertical list of X and Y in vertical parentheses
You can also use this option for any vertical list of Simple Symbols or
any Simple Symbol you want to enclose in parentheses.
You can easily make the required additional changes by
deleting one of the items, adding more simple items or changing the parentheses.
Horizontal Parentheses / Brackets: Adds a horizontal list of X and Y with a horizontal bracket
above .
You can also use this option for any horizontal list you want to enclose
in parentheses. You can easily make the required changes by adding more
items or changing the bracket.
Text: Adds a simple item that will contain text rather than EW Symbols. Use
with caution since distances to adjacent symbols may not be calculated accurately.
Decide where you want to place the new item.
Below the selected item.
Above the selected item.
Before (left of) the selected item.
After (right of) the selected item.
If your currently selected item is enclosed in parentheses or brackets, you
can choose whether to add within or outside those parentheses.
