Build Symbols, Parentheses / Brackets

Purpose

Use Parentheses / Brackets to add, change or delete enclosing symbols like parentheses or brackets when building a new symbol.

Steps

1. Choose the Parentheses / Brackets tab in the Build Symbol dialog.
2. In the orientation box select the desired place of the enclosing symbols:
   • Left / Right
     Vertical parentheses or brackets on the left and / or right side of the symbol.
   • Top / Bottom
     Horizontal parentheses or brackets on the top and / or bottom side of the symbol.
3. Select a symbol in each of the two list boxes. You can view the result of your action in the View Symbol window.
