Use the Header / Footer tab / pane in the Edit
Page Style dialog to set up a header or a footer and define its position,
size and margins.
Note: The vertical position depends on the page's margins.
A header always aligns to the top page margin, the footer to the bottom page
margin.
Steps
Choose the Headers or Footers tab in the Edit Page Style
dialog.
The header or footer settings for the current page are displayed.
To display a header / footer on pages associated with the
style, check the Header / Footer On check box.
To remove a header / footer, uncheck the Header / Footer On check box.
To change the header's or footer's horizontal position, choose the
Align to button and select one of the following options:
Left Page Margin.
Right Page Margin.
Left Side of Page.
Center of Page.
Left and Right Page Margins.
The last option also sets the header's or the footer's width.
To change the header's or the footer's size,
Enter new values in the Width and Height edit fields. Note: In order to use the width value you must specify an alignment
other than Left and Right Page Margins.
Choose Size to Contents:
The size of the header or the footer will adapt automatically to the contents.
If you have not chosen automatic sizing for a header or a footer, you
can also size it by dragging the size handles of its frame.
To change the distance between the header or the footer and the
page contents (e.g. staffs),
set the desired spacing, in the Distance to Page Contents field.
To add extra margins between the header's or footer's bounding box and
its contents,
enter margin values in the Contents Margins fields.
