Header / Footer

Page Properties, Page Style, Edit Page Style or New Page Style, Header or Footer

Purpose

Use the Header / Footer tab / pane in the Edit Page Style dialog to set up a header or a footer and define its position, size and margins.

Note: The vertical position depends on the page's margins. A header always aligns to the top page margin, the footer to the bottom page margin.

Steps

  1. Choose the Headers or Footers tab in the Edit Page Style dialog.
    The header or footer settings for the current page are displayed.
  2. To display a header / footer on pages associated with the style, check the Header / Footer On check box.
    To remove a header / footer, uncheck the Header / Footer On check box.
  3. To change the header's or footer's horizontal position, choose the Align to button and select one of the following options:

    The last option also sets the header's or the footer's width.

  4. To change the header's or the footer's size,
  5. To change the distance between the header or the footer and the page contents (e.g. staffs),
  6. To add extra margins between the header's or footer's bounding box and its contents,
  7. Choose OK.
