Properties

Purpose

The properties windows are small floating windows that enable you to change appearance, size other properties of symbols, text, cells, columns, staffs, pages and boxes. They consist out of several tabbed pages. After setting new values, click the Apply button or press Enter to confirm the changes.

The properties windows may be left open on the screen, while you perform other operations on your document.

Alternatively, the content of the properties windows may also be display as a Format Bar on the right side of the screen.

Steps

To show a property window,

• Choose Format from the menu bar, then choose Symbol Properties, Bows and Braces or Text Properties from the Symbols category, Cell Properties, Staff Properties or Format Limbs from the Staff caegory, or Page.

• Choose the corresponding button from the toolbar.

To toogle between the Format Bar and the floating window view,

• Choose the Toggle Format Bar button from the toolbar.

To display an open property window in the Format Bar,

• double-click the title bar of the property window.

To display an open page in the Format Bar as a floating window,

• drag the format bar with its drag handle at the top to the center of the screen.
